Straight after the surf lesson we met up with the Kiwi Experience bus to continue our southbound journey now going to Lake Mahinapua, first with a stop at Punakaiki Pancake Rocks and Blowholes and later in Greymouth for costume shopping as we had a costume party with a theme of our own choosing; High School Stereotypes.
Pancake rocks is quite a special place. It’s stunning an also very intriguing to look at. I know that the place calls for one to have pancakes, but “unfortunately”I was too busy looking at the gorgeous views and interesting blowholes and making sure to take lots of pictures!
I grouped up with two other girls, Alexandra (UK) and Helene (Norway), and we dressed up as the Mean Girls (wearing pink as it was Wednesday). We tried the pouty lips selfie, but I can’t say that it was a great succes haha – see above. We went for a walk down to the lake, but unfortunately I didn’t take a picture without any people in it, but the one that I did take has some beautiful people in it just making the view a bit more beautiful 😉
It was a fun evening starting out with a very yummy roast dinner, then we went to the beach to see the magnificent sunset and later went back to the bar and got the party started.
